The bridge is hidden between us, this life is tiring So what if I am awake, love is not enough The title of this song is a play on the song above which makes it “So, so what”. The one I love is alone and lamenting how big this world is The wind sends the songs from afar to say goodbye When I look back, it is littered with mistakes Through the age, love always accompanies sad goodbyes Time flies past, I refuse to hide when we meet The sword knows this life and guards the loneliness The sun sets and the rain falls on those who are bidding sad goodbyes Songs float from the tall buildings but the wind blows away the laughing chatters The cool moonlight provides a hiding place for the past
No one asks about the reason, suddenly I see the dark clouds above Passing life alone, so what if I am surrounded by loneliness So what if I am awake, who loves more than me The general meaning of Nai He is “so what” but with a more hopeless feel than a defiant meaning. However, one is from our heroine’s perspective while the other is from our hero’s.
The music is exactly the same and there are only minor differences between the two in the lyrics (The English translation makes the lyric seem like they are really different but in Chinese they are similar). The next two soundtrack is all but one song. The whole world is nothing compares to you I would rather lose this world to win you The more addicted I am to you, the further you are away from meĪll of my calculations just to make you smile The more I want to forget the deeper you are etched into my heart I am frightened to miss a single moment of our time together My best schemes to fulfill all of your distrust and doubts One single move, sends fourth thousands of soldiersĬarefully, diligently I work to accumulate sweet memories of usįorever is an unknown, I can only fight for each moment My thoughts are like a ball of tangled threadĮverything is like a game of chess, you are the only opponent for me Your charming countenance makes everything pales in comparison Within your brows, love and hate are intertwined I actually think the lyric is more appropriate for the novel because the last two sentence explains why our hero AND our heroine would give up the world for each other. This one is also my favorite because the lyric is just so lovely and totally perfect for our two leads. This one is not the ending soundtrack, but the soundtrack that was used throughout the show. Just a reminder again, these songs are really more like poems so they are really difficult to translate for me so what you guys are getting is more like a gist of the meaning. As promised, here is the OST for The Rise of Phoenixes.
